Family ledgend says her parents were killed in a pre-Civil War uprising. Neighbors by the name of GREEN took her and moved to Illinois. Her sister was taken by someone else and the two never saw or talked to the other one again. We do not know the sister's name. Great-Grandma never talked about her early life saying it was too painful to even talk about. Thus we know nothing other than she married Jim Kinman before she married great-grandfather Wayne Johnson Jacobs.
